I am from the Northeastern part of China (东北), although many Chinese people often think I am from South China. I was brought up in a small village near Liao River (辽河). Currently I am Ph. D candidate in Chinese Linguistics and working on my dissertation: The Acquisition of Mandarin Prosody by American CFL Learners. I am planning on finishing writing the dissertation within one and a half years. But, we will see...
