First Impressions of I Am a Pencil

Preface is unrealistic--too bright, too colorful, students are ALL economically challenged, ALL good writers, ALL from across the world. Did Swope stretch the truth?

Teacher loved the classroom. Seemed like a movie--a little bit like fiction. Seems a little too rosy.

Students seem like they are all creative.

Swope knows students really well, over the course of three years.

Hard to read because of details and the number of characters--Tolkein-esque in that way.
