My research interests are in mathematical, philosophical and computational logic; the foundations and philosophy of mathematics; the philosophy of logic and language; metaphysics; the philosophy of mind and cognitive science; the philosophy of science, especially the philosophy of biology; and the history of analytical and scientific philosophy, with special emphasis on the legacy of Logical Positivism.

My teaching covers all levels, from 100- and 200-level introductory courses to 800-level graduate research seminars.

In AY 2009-2010 I shall not be teaching, as I am on a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Humanities.

I maintain the website LAOS: Logicians at Ohio State. If you are a member and would like to have your information updated on this website, please send me an email.
