informing members of upcoming events and activities in Logic at Ohio State.

Our membership is drawn from various Departments and Centers: Philosophy, Mathematics, Computer and Information Science, Linguistics, and Cognitive Science. Different scholars in these units draw on Logic for their research activities in different ways. All of them use logical tools and methods in the study of both formal and natural languages.

Whether their focus is on foundations of mathematics, or computation and artificial intelligence, or grammar (syntax, semantics, pragmatics), or informal or philosophical argumentation, LAOS helps workers in these different areas of Logic to foster exchange, so that they can share the benefits of different techniques, tools and methods in Logic.
