Your paper will present a critical examination of a topic relating to the issues we've been raising concerning Romantic visionary literature.  You will advance your own perspective on that topic and also situate it within previous scholarly conversations on that topic. In other words, your own analysis should be informed by a knowledge of primary and secondary works dealing with your topic.

You may choose to write on any of the primary texts that have been assigned for this course.  If you are interested in working on other texts, you need to consider the fact that your audience will be the people in this class and that they will have to read those texts.  Therefore, consider what you think would be reasonable additional reading for the other people in the class (i.e., do unto others, etc.).

The length of your paper should be roughly 10-12 pages of actual text (12-point font, double spaced), plus a "Works Cited' section at the end.  All citations should follow MLA format .

December 1 (Monday) 6:00 p.m. -  Post your paper on the WebCT course web site as an         attachment in a "Your Papers" Discussions folder that I will set up.
