Registering with the DALN

  1. allows the system to inform you about the progress of your submission,
  2. allows site administrators to contact you if they have any difficulty processing your submission, and
  3. allows you to save your work and return at a later time to complete your submission.

Registration requires only a valid e-mail address at which you can receive a message from the DALN system and, possibly, the site administrators. Once you supply your e-mail address, the system will send you an e-mail containing a link to a form on which you can set a password to use when you login to the DALN.

The form will ask for your name, but if you wish to remain anonymous, feel free to list your name as "Anonymous." You will also have the opportunity to supply additional information about yourself, but supplying that information is optional. (Of course, any information about yourself that you include in your narrative will be publicly available.)

While we do not normally display your e-mail address on the DALN site (and we will never share it with another party), the e-mail address with which you register becomes part of the data associated with your narrative and could be viewed over the Internet by people familiar with the software running the DALN archive. If that concerns you, consider using a free e-mail account (e.g., from Google or Hotmail) dedicated to your DALN account.
