OVERVIEW

The Center for Latin American Studies at The Ohio State University invites K-12 educators to participate in the ultimate interdisciplinary adventure!  Designed to meet the professional development needs of educators engaged in mathematics and science education in our schools, this graduate-level study-abroad program will focus on the advancements and technologies of the Mesoamerican civilizations, and the incorporation of insights gained into state-of-the-art lesson plans and units.

Our host and guide in Mexico will be anthropologist Charles Goff, Director of the Cemanáhuac Educational Community in Cuernavaca.  OSU Professors Donna Berlin (Math Education) and Arthur White (Science Education) will teach this 6-credit, graduate-level course, and will accompany the group while in Mexico.  Carol Robison, Assistant Director of the OSU Center for Latin American Studies, is the coordinator for this program and will also travel with the group.
