Education:
M.A. in English from California State University, Sacramento (2008); M.Ed. in Education from University of California, Santa Barbara (2004); B.A. in English from University of California, Santa Barbara (2003)
General Background:
My "official" area of study is 20th Century US Ethnic Literature through the lens of postcolonial/neocolonial theory, queer theory, and narrative theory. More specifically, I'm interested in the contemporary forms of "magical realism" that are being produced by authors of color in America today.
