Writing Assignments

      NOTE: You must submit your paper both electronically and as a hard copy. Papers will be checked electronically for inappropriate use of resources including plagiarism. Hard copies are to be submitted in discussion section on Thursday, October 21. Electronic copies must be submitted as attachments to your e-mail in either Word format or "Rich Text Format" (.rtf). In most modern word processing programs, you can save your document to an rtf file by selecting the "Save As" option and scrolling d own to the Rich Text Format option.

      You can submit the electronic copy of your paper by clicking on one of the two links below. This will call up your e-mail program with a message addressed either to Austen Morris Morris or to Steve Brown. (Be sure to choose the correct link for your T.A.) In either case a copy will go to me, as well. Attach your paper (in Word or rtf format) to this e-mail, double check to make sure it's attached and send it. In order not to be counted late, you must send your draft by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21..

      The midterm exam will be held in your discussion section on Tuesday, November 2.
