There are dozens if not hundreds of military history sites, and we've made no attempt to list them all. (We've let others do that.) Some of the most complete links are given below:
Blog Them Out of the Stone Age, the weblog of WarHistorian.org. Comprehensive links to sites dealing with military history and military affairs.
Center
of Military History. Maintained by the U.S. Army, this has good links
to defense-related sites and an impressive number of books on-line, including
several in the Army "Green Book" series.
United
States Civil War Center at Louisiana State University. The most ambitious
and aggressively maintained of several good Civil War sites.
Web
Resources for Military History. A very helpful site maintained by Richard
Jensen of the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prof. Jensen also
maintains a list of links to the Vietnam War and
American Civil War.
World
War I: Trenches on the Web. Probably the single best site devoted to
the First World War, and beautifully designed. Has many links to other
World War One sites.
World War II on the
Web. Good set of links on this conflict.
Yahoo!/Military
History. Good links to most military history sites.
If you know of a particularly worthwhile set of links not listed here, e-mail me. Thanks.
