Areas of specialization
18th and 19th. century Spanish Peninsular Literature and Culture.
Research interests
Has published several books and critical editions and articles on Romanticism and Costumbrismo, and on Realism.
Regional literature and Popular literature (broadsheets, ballads, "aleluyas")
Current research projects
A critical edition of José Zorrilla's Leyendas.
Under contract with Clásicos Cátedra. Three book-length projects concerning fiction writer Jose María de Pereda:
- Book on his early work; under contract with Anthropos, Barcelona;
- Volume IX, Varia, of Pereda's Obras Completas. Under contract with Editorial Tantín;
- Pereda's Epistolary.
