Margarita Samas Original Drink
(Read about the History of this drink to know who is Margarita Samas)

2-3 parts tequila Tequila: Use good quality clear 100% De Agave Tequila, Hornitos is a good brand to look for. (Note: when researching this recipe we found two original recipes one using 2 parts tequila and another using 3 parts tequila. Our best suggestion is to try both and use the one you like best.)
1 part Cointreau Cointreau is a fairly expensive liqueur, but worth the money. On the use of Triple Sec, which a lot of people use because it is cheaper than Cointreau, Margarita says, "I think that's dreadful. It should be outlawed. If people want to use it, so be it. But they're not drinking a margarita." Enough said I guess.
1 part Fresh lime juice Line Juice - FRESH squeezed only!

Mix ingredients. Stirred not shaken. Pour over one or two large ice cubes (smaller ones melt too fast and dilute the flavor). Glass - Long-stemed. Run a piece of lime peel around the rim. Quickly place it top down onto a napkin sprinkled with salt. Do not rub it around - you are not after a big crest of salt, just a little bit for taste. (As always any drink is better if served in the correct glass - or at least a fun one.)
