Everything's An Argument

Syllabus

Course Description

English 110 is a course designed to help you become the best possible writer in a wide variety of writing situations. In part we will accomplish this goal through a quarter-long exploration of arguments in several types of discourse -- academic, public, and personal. Although our focus in class will be on the act of writing and you will be writing both informally and formally, you will also be reading and discussing texts with an eye toward how writers craft language, ideas, and arguments. In addition, you will act as editors for your classmates through peer response.
