Purpose

  • To allow you to practice transforming a "traditional" document into a hypertext
  • To allow you to conceive of a visual argument

Task

Working in groups, you will create a hypertext analyzing an issue addressed by a group of course readings. Each group will present a "draft" of their hypertext to the class on Monday 5/6. Feedback from me and the class will help each group revise before the hypertext is graded. (Grading Criteria)

Your hypertext analysis should

  • analyze all sides of the issue
  • put the class readings "in conversation" with each other
  • use the elements of good web design discussed in class (design links)
  • consist of at least five separate html pages (all linked together)
  • have at least seven off-site links relating to your analysis
  • contain at least five images

Due Dates

  • Rough Draft (on disk) - Mon. 5/6
  • Graded Draft (on disk) - Wed. 5/15
