Teaching the world that Peruvian music goes well beyond the panpipes of the Andes, Peru Negro has become the champion and standard of preserving Perus African heritage. Percussive backbone is joined by melodic guitar and passionate singing to form the heart of Afro-Peruvian music, and for the past 30 years, Pero Negro has been bringing the infectious rhythms and sounds to the rest of the world.

Founded by Ronaldo Campos de la Colina, Peru Negro was originally a group of 12 family members. The troupe has since grown to over 30 people, the Ambassadors of Peruvian Culture,who bring a carnival celebration of culture (LA Times) to stages across the globe.
