Lamajamal Music Concert

We are proud to announce that intercultural music group Lamajamal will give a concert in Columbus, organized by SEF and Students for Dialogue at OSU. We believe this will be a unique opportunity to listen to music from several cultural regions at once.

About Lamajamal
Lamajamal is dedicated to the survival of traditional music and creation of creative, soulful "world music." The art and folk music of the Middle East, Eastern Europe, North and West Africa and the Americas, have influenced them through their studying and performing their traditions. All of the musicians in Lamajamal have played numerous styles of music, all have played in experimental groups, and all have played and studied in traditional settings as well as performing in the actual regions their music comes from. All of these elements have fused together and the guide the direction of their music.
