University Chorus at the Newark Campus of Ohio State will present "Songs
of the American Temperance Movement" on Monday, March 6 at 8 pm in
Founders Hall Auditorium.

Performing Arts
Rising jazz
piano star Vijay Iyer and his quartet make their local debut in
an intimate cabaret-style show in the Black Box on Mershon Stage. His wide
range of influences (he's worked with everyone from tabla players to hip-hop
artists such as Mike Ladd) and his compelling live performances have won him
raves from fans and critics alike. Yesterday's "Columbus Dispatch"
featured an interview with Iyer in which he discusses the political
consciousness that infuses his compositions, saying "the people who make
culture are removed from the burning issues affecting the world." To read
