Clare Simmons (Professor) (Ph.D., University of Southern California): Nineteenth-century British literature, Romanticism. Author of Reversing the Conquest: History and Myth in Nineteenth-Century British Literature, Eyes Across the Channel: French Revolutions, Party History, and British Writing 1830-1882, and papers and articles on nineteenth-century British literature and medievalism. Editor of The Clever Woman of the Family by Charlotte Mary Yonge, and an essay collection, Medievalism and the Quest for the "Real" Middle Ages. Co-Editor of Prose Studies.
