To Borrow or Not to Borrow


    In Russia, American products are advertised with both the English and the Cyrillic alphabets. In the picture at left, the slogan is in Cyrillic (translation: "purity of feeling"), but the brand name is in English: even in Russia, a vodka brand with the name Smirnoff seems to be more marketable if the label is not in Russian!
